Allyson & Kennedy are a playful & very photogenic couple. A & K decided on Millennium Park in Grand Rapids, MI as the location for their engagement photo shoot during golden hour. They wore neutral shades with hints of blue hues, which perfectly complemented the location.
They made my job SO FREAKING EASY for their golden hour engagement photo session. We sent quite a bit of emails back and forth trying to narrow down a date, time, & outfits, but WOW it seriously came together perfectly.
Allyson found me through a friend whose engagement photos I took. I was so thrilled when they emailed back saying they wanted to move forward!
During this Millennium Park engagement sesh, I had a blast posing them, and they were open to try anything! This lead to us getting some great action photos, as well as unique poses. It was a low-stress photo shoot and we made epic art!
We took some pictures with them laying down a stunning field with the golden hour light dancing on the grass blades. The spot in Millennium Park that we took those is one of my favorites to use for families & engagements. These are personally some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
After this point, the light was really turning gold, so took several more shots near the wood bridge. If you were an outsider watching this engagement session, you’d see a LOT of dancing & laughing in a very playful atmosphere.
Not wanting to lose this golden light we hurried back to the parking lot for the outfit change. Allyson changed into a geometric patterned dress that still had neutrals & blue hues. Kennedy stayed in his khakis & light blue shirt. I loved the movement this dress added to their engagement photos, and I am obsessed with how their energy pops out.
